PEDIATRICS/SOSA/NPO:
I know it's the end of the year and everyone is rushing to study for boards and finals, but as future physicians and even pharmacists, I urge you to attend this presentation:
Pediatrics, SOMA, and NPO will be hosting Kate Fox (Speech pathologist) and 4 members of the Northwestern PA Autism Society (a chapter of the Autism Society of America as well as parents of autistic children) will be discussing Autism and the following topics:
- Importance of paying attention to parental concerns early on
- Developmental screenings at well checks
- Early signs of autism
- To whom to refer if there are concerns
- Family experiences navigating the system(s) and anything we, as parents,
think would help to make visits to the dr. easier for individuals with
autism spectrum disorders
- Q&A
It will be on Tuesday, May 13th from 5:00 to 6:30/7:00 PM. Dinner and drinks will be provided!!!
